Press Release

VIDALIA, Ga. — [June 26th, 2026] — A&M Farms, one of Georgia's premier Vidalia onion producers, today announced the release of a new cinematic documentary that explores the remarkable journey of founder Aries Haygood—a story of resilience, purpose, and a renewed vision for how food should be grown.

Produced by 2nd Mile Films, the documentary follows Haygood's personal and professional evolution after overcoming cancer, an experience that transformed not only his perspective on life, but also his philosophy on agriculture.

For Haygood, farming became about more than producing one of America's most iconic onions. It became a mission to cultivate healthier soils, embrace responsible growing practices, and pursue the highest standards of quality and nutritional value possible.

"When you've faced a life-threatening illness, you begin to look at everything differently," said Aries Haygood. "For me, that meant asking deeper questions about the food we grow, the health of our soil, and the responsibility we have to produce something that families can truly feel good about bringing to their tables."

Filmed on location in Vidalia, Georgia, the documentary provides an intimate look inside the family-owned operation while exploring the values that have guided A&M Farms for generations. From early mornings in the fields to conversations about leadership, stewardship, and innovation, the film reveals the people and purpose behind one of America's most recognized agricultural products.

Rather than simply documenting the farming process, the documentary examines the intersection of entrepreneurship, legacy, and the belief that exceptional food begins with exceptional care for the land.

"Every founder has a story that shaped the way they lead," said Arash Farsi, founder and director of 2nd Mile Films. "Aries' battle with cancer became a turning point that fundamentally changed how he views food, farming, and his responsibility to future generations. We wanted to tell the human story behind the business—the story that customers rarely get the chance to hear."

The documentary is part of The 2nd Mile Collection, a series of cinematic founder documentaries celebrating entrepreneurs whose perseverance, purpose, and leadership have created meaningful impact within their industries and communities.

Additional information regarding viewing opportunities and future distribution will be announced in the coming weeks.
